After last year's
event, Lisboa Real Ops returns for a
second time and with bigger ambitions!
Last year, we had
323 aircraft crossing our airspace in less than
10 hours - a unique achievement in the Iberian
Peninsula - yet we hope to see more this year!
Lisbon is known
as Europe's gateway to South America, especially
Brazil but it also offers flights to Africa,
Europe, North America and the islands of Madeira
and the Azores.
In this year's
event we will be holding continued and full ATC
coverage for Lisbon (LPPT) and Lisbon FIR (LPPC)
from 1000UTC to 2000UTC on Saturday 6 March
2010, as well as coordinating with adjacent
FIRs and airports to ensure a fully staffed
Iberian Peninsula.
